Let's talk about Christmas

My Christmas was alright I suppose. My Martha Stewart Christmas Special Ornaments turned out fab. Here's how you do it.
First you blow up small balloons. Then you tie string to the end.

You wrap it around and around, two diff size strings look the best.

Then you coat it with a mixture of 1/3 water - 2/3 glue. Let it dry for a couple hours. Then...

You pop the balloon and use the same mixture to coat the hollow yarn. Then roll it in glitter and shake off.

Add your own ribbon for flair.

Voila!

I felt so proud of myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im not sure about other cultures but it is customary to give a baby a chicken bone. It helps soothe itchy gums.

She rarely wears her hair down. Look at my "Curly Sue" with her beautiful tendrils.

I made Adrian's dad a chef hat b/c he makes the best food ever and he's always cooking.

Carving the fried turkey.

My mom posing with the decor.
The spread. Yum.

My fave were these brussel sprouts that Adrian's mom made.

I put out pics of the baby celebrating Christmas in new frames.

I put candies in glass hurricanes.

Enjoying her new book, "If you give a cat a cupcake" with her great aunt.
Playing with her feeties in her new BIG girl jammies.
Cassie in her new Christmas Clothes and shoes.

And finally today, the baby and me using spices.

Happy Dayz

This is at the resturaunt the day of Cassie's Christening! We had to cover her beautiful dress up. She amazed me when she dipped her cracker into a little bit of broth before eating it. Here she is opening early Christmas gifts. We are so grateful and blessed.

We recently went to her doctor and I found out she is only 18lbs which was a huge relief to me b/c I feared her being overweight. Soooo Mon. night we shared a weight watchers stone oven pizza which was too good for words.

So here are pics worth 1000 words. Note: whenever her feet turn in like this something is super delicious!

Lastly is, "things that make you go hmmmm". I happened to look inside of the dryer while checking on the clothes and this is what I saw. I didn't know there was a light in there. What's it for???

Slacking Already

Okay so much to say so little time.

I started my day off caring for daughter/helping hubby to be get ready to go as he is on a new work schedule this week. I finished my day listening to "Brave" by Nichole Nordeman. It was my inspiration for the day and now Im going to finish by brushing/flossing/gargling and listening the song once again as I prepare for tomorrow.

I thank the Lord for the way today went. For my family's health, or ever changing finances, and the blessed year we have had.

Im truly appreciating my dvr. I love wathing TRHOC! Loving ALEXIS and all of her little philosophies and her Christian family following Christian Principles. Go girl. Goodbye Gretchen as my fave.

Okay meet us again... The Matthews... Some of us all our lives the other of "us" soon to be. I've been working my butt off to create the perfectly pink Christmas for my family this DEC 2009.

The stockings are up and we even have a few stuffers inside. Yes we are wolverine fans, yes we want to continue our higher education as WOLVERINES!!!! (GO BIG BLUE), and yes we dream of the day our eldest daughter chooses to attend this fine institution.
All of Cassie's gifts are wrapped so far courtesy of momma. I love this scheme. I story boarded this gift scene many moons ago.
